Salvation release date and teaser 2! (Captive, 4)

I have set the official release date for Salvation! It will be available on June 8, 2013. In celebration I am releasing a second teaser!

But Jack was right, they did have company and Braith was itching for a fight. He was itching for blood. He wanted to take his fury and frustration out on someone, and the king’s loyal soldiers were a good start. He slipped silently through the trees with the others, keeping an eye on the shifting shadows as he honed in on his prey. He thought he should be apprehensive about the thrill, the excitement and bloodlust that coursed through him, but he wasn’t. He’d do whatever it took, become whatever was necessary, to get her back. He didn’t care who he had to destroy in order to do it.
Crouching behind a tree, he closed his eyes against the distracting shadows. Drawing upon the senses he’d honed during his hundred years of blindness, he was able to get a clearer picture of what was going on around him than if he had been using his broken eyes. His ears alerted him to the approach of the men, his nose picked up their scent long before they reached the crest of the hill. He was silent, as still as stone as he listened and waited for the soldiers to move closer.
Then, as the men rounded the top of the hill, and all he knew was the darkness that the world had become, he slipped from behind the tree and descended upon the men like an avenging demon. Something he feared he might actually become. He felt dark enough to be one, felt hollow and hate filled enough to have come straight from the depths of hell.
As he drove the first soldier into the ground, he realized that he hadn’t slipped into the darkness that a demon would possess. He’d slipped into the darkness that the king possessed. What was inside of him now was what he’d often seen reflected in the eyes of his father. The worst part, he realized as he destroyed first one vampire, and then another, was that he didn’t care. He welcomed it, embraced it, and relished in the death as it briefly calmed his tormented spirit.

  4. Oh, I'm SO happy that "Salvation" will be released on June 8th!! I've just finished reading "Captured", and loved it!! Since I already have "Renegade" and "Refugee", I'll be able to continue with the story right away. Then I'll have to wait a couple of months...oh, well.

Thank you for creating these books!! I LOVE Braith and Aria!! :)

  6. Nooooooo! Don't make me wait! Here I'm sniveling and drying my tears after finishing Refugee at 2am in the morning, thinking Aria is going to get herself killed, all to save Briath . . . And I feel like the rug got pulled out from under my feet to learn I have to wait 3 MORE MONTHS to find out what happens--Augh, this is torture!

  7. Hi Erica,

You are an amazing writer and your world in the capture series is simply mind blowing.....I absolutely love Braith and Aria but please dont seperate them....I love stories without love triangles where the H n H are there for each other thru whatever life throws at them and your book is a wonderful example of it.....It will become perfect if they could have there HEA after all the trials they have gone thru...:-)Cant wait till june to find out what you have planned for them
    Thanks
    Neha

  9. I am so anticipating this book! I LOVED the entire series thus far and I was left feeling empty when I finished Refugee! You are an absolutely awesome writer! You have had me on the edge of my seat. I have not had a predictable moment in any of the books yet. Great job!

  10. I am eagerly awaiting this book. I cannot wait to see what becomes of Braith and Aria. I hope that Aria convinces Braith to turn her. I could not stand it that they are not together. It is unfortunate that Braith's brother and father have had her blood. I have always hated when authors get a couple together and the reader to embrace the love affair only to rip them apart. Please give a teaser as to how the love of Braith and Aria ends up. I will probably cry if they are not together at the end of this series. Ruling over the vampires and sending peace throughout the land between vampire and human.

  12. While scanning my Kindle I came across Captured for free, So I purchased it and ended up reading it from 10pm-3am finishing the book in one day. (Boy was I tired at work the next day) I made my husband give me his credit card the next day(only because I couldn't find his wallet in the middle of the night) to purchase Renegade and Refugee which both were read in three days. I am so excited that Salvation is coming out in a matter of weeks. Will this be the last book in the Captive Series??
